This is a lovely locket of 14 carat (tested) yellow gold. There is an onyx piece on the front and back of the locket. On the front , a cross is carved. The locket, with bale, opens up, and on one side, under glass, is a wonderful, Prince-of-Wales plume, fashioned from gray, human hair. On the other side, the gold is engraved "Father, 15th April, 1893. This is a lovely memorial. It closes securely, and measures 1 inch, North to South, not counting the bale, and 3/4 of an inch East to West. This is a lovely piece to wear in memory of a loved one, or to add to a collection. It is in excellent condition.
