Essays and Sketches, by Charles Lamb

This is lovely copy of Essays and Sketches, by Charles Lamb. It has a beautiful marbled board cover, completed with leather spine and corners.The gold tooling on the spine is especially nice and characteristic of the art nouveau period when this book was published in London by J.M Dent and Company (1903). The fronts and ends pieces are also marbled paper which match the boards, and the book is in excellent condition, and contains several sketches by the author. The volume measures 7 and 7/8 inches North to South, 5 inches East to West, and is 1 inch thick.
