This is a lovely Victorian band crafted from 12 carat gold, marked, and lovely, pale aquamarine and rubies. The gold chasing on the shoulders of the ring is lovely. The ring is a size 8 and 1/4 to 8 and 1/2, and the band itself, with the stones , measures a little over 1/4 of an inch wide. The ring could be sized by someone used to working with antique jewelry. It weighs 2.69 grams, and it is fully hallmarked, The marks declare the ring to be 12 carat gold, manufactured in the city of Birmingham , England, in the year 1870, by the maker MJR. This is a nice one. I really wish I could keep it, as I need a band similar to this, but , alas, this one does not fit any of my fingers.
