This is a lovely print showing some children playing with a magnifying glass. The print is titled "The Burning Glass." This is a print, I was told, in which actual oil paint was used. I don't really understand the process, but I surely do trust the opinion of the English book seller from whom I bought this piece. It is circa 1860, and the print was done by Leblonde and Co, London. This piece is beautifully matted, and ready for framing. Matted the print measures 13 inches long and 14 and 1/2 inches wide. This piece has been covered with a protective covering which I did not remove for the photo. The covering may be wrinkled, but the mat and print are not.
