This is a nice volume of The Poems of Thomas Hardy. Most of us are familiar with Hardy's novels, as "Tess of the D'Urbervilles," and "Far From The Madding Crowd," but we may not be as familiar with his poetry. I read somewhere though, that the author's ambition was to be a poet, rather than a novelist. Anyway, this volume is in excellent condition, with leather spine and corners. The spine is gold tooled. Also, there is a bookplate inside without an owner's name. The title page declares that this book was published in London, in 1926, by Macmillan and Company. The volume measures 7 and 1/2 inches North to South, and 5 and 1/8 inches East to West.
