These are lovely, feminine, earrings, of flat cut almandine garnets. They are set in gold, either 15 or 18K, and all stones are present and original. They are in very good condition. I did see, when I took the photo with my macro lens, that there is wear to the gold on the back of one, and that maybe the corners of the gold have been reinforced at one time. I did not see this with my naked eye, but can see it with a loupe At any rate, the stones are very secure, and this small flaw does not devalue the earrings, in my opinion. They are circa 1850, and measure 1 inch North to South, and 1/4 an inch East to West. These are very wearable, as they can be either dressed up or down.
