Sterling Silver Teapot, ebony handle, Victorian
This is a wonderful, sterling silver teapot, in excellent condition. It has the ebony handle and top, and the chasing on the pop is outstanding. There are no dents or dings, and the pop measures 9 and 3/4 inches from spout to end of handle, and it is 6 and 1/2 inches tall. i would guess it would be considered a 4 to 6 cup pot, The bottom is smooth, and could be engraved. The hallmarks are clear and declare this teapot to be of British Sterling silver, minted in London in the year 1900. Part of the maker's mark is rubbed off from polishing, but an "s" is visible.
Great for a 25th wedding anniversary!
