This is a lovely English charm bracelet with 28 charms, if I counted correctly. I would have dated it the 70's, because I have one similar to this of my own, I got in the 70's from a boyfriend. This one has one hallmarked charm from the 30's, and a coin from the 30's, and one from the 40's, so it may well be earlier than I thought. Anyway, it is English silver (sterling), and all the charms are marked as "silver," except one I found with regular Bristish hallmarks. The charms are enamel shields of various cities and countries including London, Isle of Wight, Cowes, Eastbourne, etc. I first thought this bracelet represented just the Uk, but I just saw one for Germany. There is a three pence coin with George IV, dated 1933, and one for Ireland dated 1949. The bracelet also has a heart padlock as a closing. I have another English charm bracelet with a padlock closing, so I guess this was the norm for the Uk. Thw bracelet is 6 and 3/4 inches long but would probably extend a little with the padlock closing. It weighs 46.04 grams. All charms are in excellent condition.
