This is a lovely , circa 1890, mahogany architect's Box. It is filled with tools with brass handles. I do not know enough about the tools to name them, but the box is fitted, and everything has a place, and everything seems to be present. The box has a working key, and the top fitted tray lifts out, and there are more implements and more space for storage. This box and the contents are in excellent condition, and it measures 8 inches East to West, a little under 4 and 1/2 inches North to South, and is 1 and 3/4 inches tall. What a lovely gift this would make for an architect, or for any antique collector.
