This is a very interesting prayer book, and I have never, in all my book buying seen one like it. It is composed of Mother of pearl front and back, with a tooled leather spine. It says "Jerusalem" on the front of the prayer book, and on the spine. The book was printed in London by Collins, and there is no publication date listed. I do not know the meaning of "Jerusalem" as applied to this prayer book. Does it mean it was purchased in Jerusalem, or is there a Jerusalem edition of this prayer book? Maybe someone who sees this can tell us. I believe the book to be circa 1915, and it is in excellent condition. It contains several colored prints throughout, and it also contains the hymns, ancient and modern. The book measures 4 and 3/4 inches North to South, 3 and 1/8 inches East to West, and is 3/4 of an inch thick. What a unique volume to add to a collection, or to give as a gift.
