These are lovely Victorian (circa 1860) Amethyst Earrings. They are set in unmarked , but tested, 9 carat gold, and they have a small natural pearl at the bottom. They are in excellent condition save one dent in the gold on the back of one earring. The dent is small and not that noticeable, and does not in any way detract from the beauty of the earrings. Both earrings together weigh 5.33 grams. The amethyst are foiled and set in closed backed settings. They measure 1 and 3/8 inches North to South and almost 1/4 of an inch East to West at the widest point.
