This one is a beauty. It looks lovely one. It features a rectangular bed of black enamel, with natural pearls surrounding a hair locket. It is crafted of unmarked, but tested 18 carat yellow gold. Of course the hair would have belonged to the beloved. There are three black stones on each shoulder. I will call them glass, though they look very much like jet, but I am not certain of that. The ring is a size 6 and 1/2, though it could be sized by someone used to working with antique jewelry. The rectangular, enameled portions measures 1/2 inch North to South, and about 5/8 inches East to West. This measurement does not include the black stones on the shoulder. The ring is in excellent condition, and it is circa 1850. It weighs 2.97 grams.
