This is one of the prettiest Albertina's (Ladies watch chain) I have ever seen. It is complete with enameled slide, and silver tassel. The piece is English (sterling) silver, unmarked (save for the Lion Passant on the jump ring) but tested. It measures 8 and 1/2 inches North to South, not counting the tassle and the jump ring. It can be made smaller by fastening the watch hook into the smaller ring which would make it about 8 inches. Most of the time ladies wear these as bracelets now, but they could still serve as a watch chain, with a vest, or as part of a necklace with another chain or ribbon. This piece weighs 16.44 grams, and is circa 1890. It is 1/2 inch wide at its widest point.
