This is a very interesting, circa 1760, watch fob/ seal. It is in excellent condition, and it is crafted of unmarked, but tested, silver (sterling). It measures a little over one inch tall, and the part with the intaglio is 1/2 inch in diameter. The fob weighs 6.44 grams. The intaglio is very interesting. I do not really know what it is. It has the wing span of an eagle, but the legs look like those of a frog to me. Perhaps a rearing dragon? This piece would make a great fob for a pocket watch, or a lovely addition to a bracelet or necklace of watch fobs.
