This is a rather unusual memorial band. It is crafted of unmarked but tested 18 carat gold, and the band has been filled with white enamel, which usually signified a child or unmarried person. The band has a gold decorative pattern on the top, and the band is 1/8 of an inch wide. It weighs 3.95 grams and it is a size 7, which can not be sized. Inside the ring is engraved "R Liddell, ob 12th July 1771 AET 43. The English dealer from whom I bought this says she has only ever seen one other like it, and I know she has seen a lot of jewelry!
