This is a very unusual memorial band and, as a collector and dealer, I have seen a lot of them, but never one quite like this. it is crafted of unmarked but tested 18 carat gold. It is a little less than 1/8 of an inch wide, and it is a size 6 to 6 and 1/4. It weighs 2.02 grams. It memorializes EWOB 22nd April 1731 AE 53. What is so unusual about this ring is the pattern repeated 5 times (two times together) between the words. I call the pattern crossbones because that's what it's reminds me off, though it's probably just a decorative pattern. Anyway, it's quite a nice memorial band, and it's in very good condition for its almost 300 years!
