This is a very nice expansion bracelet composed of Whidby Jet. As many of you may know, this jet came from the banks along the shore of Whidby, England. It is now illegal to mine this jet, as the banks were eroding! A lot of memorial jewelry was crafted from jet. Mourning rules were so strict, than ladies had to wear black for quite some time, even in their jewelry. As this is an expansion bracelet, it should fit any wrist. It has been restrung, so it is secure. At its longest point, the band is 1 and 3/8 inches North to South, and 3/4 an inch East to West. The links are slightly smaller, measuring 1 and 1/8 inch North to South, and 3/4 an inch East to West. The pieces of jet are in excellent condition, with no cracks.
