This is a lovely little gypsy band. I'm not sure exactly why the English call the gypsy rings, but they do. This one is particularly nice. It is crafted in 18 ct gold, marked, and it contains one diamond and two rubies. It is fully hallmarked, and the marks declare the ring to be 18 ct gold and minted in Birmingham. The date mark is worn, but the ring is circa 1890. It is a size 5 and 3/4 , and it could be sized by someone who is used to working with antique jewelry. It weighs 3.02 grams, and is 1/4 inch wide at it's widest point (where the diamond is). It is a beautiful antique piece for the money.
