This is absolutely the most beautiful Dirk I have ever seen. It is circa 1810. It is comprised of silver (sterling, unmarked but tested), paste, carnelian, and even a bloodstone shield in a 9 ct gold surround. It's in perfect condition, with all stones present. The clasp and pin are all original. It measures a little over 4 inches North to South, and 1 inch and 1/2 East to West. It weighs 14.59 grams the best I can tell, though I could not get the entire dirk on my jewelry scales. What a beauty!
