The bow is one of my favorite motifs in jewelry. This one is especially nice. It is circa 1820 and beautifully crafted jargoons set in unmarked but tested silver (sterling). Jargoons are a type of zircon, which these Georgian jewelers thought fine enough to be cut as gemstones. They are beautiful, and faceted just like rose cut diamonds. All stones are present. The pendant measures 1 and 3/4 inches North to South, and 1 and 3/8 inches East to West at the widest point. It weighs 15.3 grams.
