This is a lovely rose cut diamond ring, 18 carat, unmarked but tested. The flower shaped ring contains a center rose cut diamond, surrounded by 8 petal shaped rose cuts. The shoulders of the ring are lovely , also , with a rose or flower shaped design. The ring is a size 5 and 1/2, but could be sized by someone used to working with antique pieces. The stones are foiled, and closed backed, and the ring weighs 3.64 Grams. The portion of the ring with the diamonds measures 5/8 of an inch North to South, and 1/2 inch East to West. This is a eye catching, feminine, ring, circa 1820. Note: For some reason one of the diamonds appears a little yellowish in the photograph, but they all appear the same color to the naked eye and with the loupe.
