These two paintings (water color on paper) are circa 1840, and are framed identically. As the dealer from whom I bought them told me they came together when she bought them, we assume it is Mother and Daughter. I am offering them together, They are in excellent condition, though it was very hard to get good photos because of the bubble (convex) glass which is original. Outside you can see my house and trees reflected in the glass, and inside there is flash glare. It is amazing that that original glass has survived though. Both pictures are identical in size. Framed each measures 10 and 1/4 inches North to South, and 9 inches East to West. Both are in their original frames. The paintings themselves are 6 and 1/2 inches North to South, and 5 and 1/2 inches East to West. Note: There is no discoloration in these paintings. What you are seeing are streaks of light due to the convex glass.
