This is a beautiful book. It's actually one of the first early ones that I was able to acquire, so I kept it. I am almost ready to go on a shopping spree, and need items to add to my site, so I took it out of my bookcase. It's bound in rich, green, full calf leather, which hasn't suffered from sun damage. There is gold tooling on the spine, with the publishing date, 1831, tooled at the bottom . The volume is in very good condition, with some minor rubbing to the leather, The binding is tight as are all the pages. The sub title of this work is "A Companion for the Christmas Fireside." It contains 50 nice engravings. The book measures 7 and 1/4 inches North to South ,4 and 1/4 inches East to West, and is 1 inch thick. The pages are gold tooled. Grab this if you're interested, because i, otherwise, it will soon go back in my bookcase !
