This is a nice , heavy brides' basket, of quadruple silver plate. The plating is in very good shape, with few bare spots. Actually, the photo makes it seem much worse than it is, as I swiped it with silver polish. It looked good to me until I saw the film on the photo. Oh the joys of a macro lens! The basket measures 11 and 1/2 inches East to West, 9 and 1/4 inches North to South, and is 9 and 1/2 to 10 inches tall, counting handle. The piece is footed, and the base is heavily embossed with a fruit pattern. It is circa 1890.
