This very ornate and intricate quilt is typical of 19th century North Eastern Quilts. The traditional earlier folk art quilts were much larger but this one uses scraps of fabric to create an artistic square decoration with a simple folky embroidered border. The label on the back of the quilt shows that it has previously been sold at auction for 900 dollars.

The framed quilt measures 25 1/4 Inches (64.2 cm) tall and the same in width.
