We are offering this extremely rare Silver Chocolate pot from Germany. This rare example of Early German silver is marked with an Early Loth mark, this one is 12 Loth, which was a typical early style of marking the silver content as well as an often faked mark for Nuremberg. The Pitcher is probably for hot chocolate or coffee and features portrait decorations as well as a more modern monogram. The early carved boxwood handle has been broken and repaired and there are some soldered repairs to the silver in areas of the decoration.
The pitcher measures 8 1/2 Inches (21.6 cm) tall and 5 5/8 Inches (14.5 cm).
