This is an iconic pair of huge 1980s Edouard Rambaud Paris Couture earrings with an arresting, sculptural Modernist look. They have a textured hammered metal surface with a matte shimmery 'Russian gold' finish that makes the earrings look like pools of molten gold.
The French designer label, Edouard Rambaud, founded in 1984, became famous for bold statement costume jewellery inspired by the jewels of Roman and Greek antiquity. Rambaud jewellery often featured heavily textured, gold or silver plated jewels in primal shapes like sun, stars and, in this case, the egg.
Measurements: They measure 1.5 x 1.3 inches or 3.9 x 3.3 cm, have secure clip on fastenings, and are really comfortable to wear despite their large size.
Condition: Very well preserved throughout, and free of any cosmetic marks other than the natural variations present in the textured finish- not noticeable whilst wearing them. Gift boxed and ready to wear.
