This is a rare and wonderful 1970s Brutalist Swiss watch pendant by Lucien Favraud with an analog mechanism in good working order. The wind-up mechanism works and keeps time fairly accurately (it gained 5 minutes in a day, so might benefit from a tune-up).
The watch face is set in a fine sculptural silver plate mounting shaped like a large silver nugget, which measures an impressive 2.75 x 1.9 inches. The face is enamelled sky blue with a turquoise cloud running across it, and inscribed LUCIAN FAVRAUD Swiss Made 17 Jewels. The reverse is inscribed Shock Protected Stainless Steel Back. The acrylic face has a small (2mm) scratch or chink on its lower edge (pictured, and priced accordingly), but is otherwise well preserved for its age.
The watch weighs 55 grams and comes with its original continuous 25 inch chain. In great vintage condition, well made and very well preserved for its age, gift boxed and ready to wear. Quite rare: I haven't been able to trace another like it!
