This listing is for an antique Meissen child figurine, circa mid-1700’s. An 18th Century glazed porcelain artwork, this piece depicts a small boy feeding his dog. He is holding a wicker basket of bocage-style spring blooms. The boy’s spotted pup is standing on a raised stone pedestal while the boy gives him a treat. This hand-painted piece has no visible damage. No cracks, chips, or repairs. Minimal paint losses. A great addition to your Meissen collection! It measures approximately 4-1/2 inches tall by 1-1/2 inches wide. This piece is marked on the bottom with the underglaze blue crossed swords mark with a dot between crosspieces, which denotes production from 1732 through 1773.
