Old and charming, this pair of white late 19th century Staffordshire Spaniels are a nice medium size. They are 11 1/4" tall with an 8" x 4" base. They have nice shaped heads, with painted eyes, a black nose, and a red lined mouth. The gilding is worn off, but the glaze is good and no white paint is missing. The left dog has more curly hair marks. The right dog has a manufacturer's flaw on the right ear ( not a chip ). They are crazed, but no cracks or chips. Both have vent holes in the base and smaller vent holes behind neck. These dogs are just the right size for bookshelves. Very good condition.
