This 13" tall Staffordshire Dog is in wonderful condition. The base is 7" long. It does have overall crazing to be expected. No chips or cracks. It has painted eyes and a black nose. The ears, tail, and spots are gold luster over green paint. The gold luster over the green paint gives this dog a toned down, almost copper luster. The collar is embellished with a padlock, heightened with gilt and a chain extending from the collar trailing down across the body. Unmarked as most of these dogs are-- there is a vent hole on the backside. I date this dog early 1900's.
