Absolutely gorgeous large display 17" x 14" Platter! The pattern is an overall beautiful floral design of vivid Japan colors with gold outlining. There is lots of deep cobalt dark blue, Chinese red, and green on a white background. The platter is nicely scalloped with a outstanding border design with a gild edge. There are two stable hairline cracks. The cracks go from edge of border into start of well. They stop before entering center design. The platter is unmarked, except for an impressed number 16 and some red numbers. . It does have age crazing, but no chips. I date this a late 1800's platter. It is a beauty!
