This is an antique 1850's - 1870's Blue Willow 9 1/2" diameter Bowl. It has a nice old blue wreathe mark with an impressed bell. This symbol is from J. M. P. Bell Co. , Earthenware Glasgow Pottery, Loan, Glasgow, Scotland. The oriental motif is the traditional Blue Willow Pattern consisting of a Willow Tree, a bridge with three figures, pagodas, a boat, and two birds in flight. The bowl is in very good condition except for a border hairline crack ( very stable and hard to find ). No chips and no front surface crazing. It is a lovely very old Blue Willow transferware bowl.
