This gorgeous 9 3/4" flow blue bowl was made by Alfred Meakin LTD, Royal Albert, Victoria and Highgate Potteries, Tunstall Staffordshire; printed mark 1907-1930. The printed crown mark has the manufacturer's name surrounding it with the pattern name "Oakley" . The bowl has a scalloped outer edge with gilt. The border has white scroll embossed decoration and a beautiful very dark cobalt blue "flowing" flowers with branches. It has a rather deep well of 1 1/2". I have two of these bowls. They have condition problems. One has a very small under rim chip, the other has a top rim chip. They are priced low for flow blue because of the chips. These are still beautiful and would make great display items on a shelve or hutch. Or hang them on a wall.
