This is a nice good size box measuring 12 1/2" long by 4" tall. The burned work is well executed with a design of grape clusters and leaves. The hinge side has burned flowers resembling carnations. The hinges are original and in good shape. The clasp is original and works well. The inside is clean. The stamp mark on the bottom of the box is "Flemish 682 Art" . The box is in very good condition, except for one hairline crack about 1 1/2" on top left hand corner. This in a great box to hold remote controls on a coffee table. A nice example of Victorian craft work. This craft was popular in the late 1800's and early 1900's.
