The state of Illinois has a long tradition of Trot Horse racing during the State Fair in Springfield, Illinois. This Silver Plate Ice Bucket was presented as a trophy to a winner of this event. Engraved on one side "Abe Lincoln Trot 1965 Illinois State Fair". The vintage ice bucket weighs five pounds, 9" tall (including knob), 6" opening, 5 1/2" deep, and 6" diameter base. Beautiful Lion Heads side ring handles. Marked on the bottom E.P.C.A. ( Electroplated Copper Alloy) Poole Silver Co. Taunton, Mass. 3400. The inside is insulated by A Thermos Co. This ice bucket is a good conversation piece and holds a good amount of ice for a party. Condition is very good with minor wear due to use. No dents.
