This is a nice Brass Helmet shaped early 1900's Coal Bucket. The height is 9", width 10 1/2", depth 9 1/4" and the round base measures 10" diameter. Made of hammered brass with a sturdy loop handle. The handle ends fit into eyelets on both sides of the bucket. There is another small handle on the backside. The circular ringed bottom design is 1 1/2". The bucket is in nice used condition and cleaned well. There is pitted light rusting all over the surface. A good polishing would improve this, but as is looks more vintage. There are no bad indentions or bumps. No holes.
This bucket would make a lovely fireside holder for small logs. It could be used decorative to hold magazines. Even would be a nice planter.
