These are gorgeous 11" x 13 1/2" Pink Rose Prints. They are double matted, glassed, and beautifully framed. The lovely prints are from the original work of Belgian Artist Pierre Joseph Redoute ( 1759-1840 ). The artist was known for his paintings of roses and other flowers. He was also a botanist. Redoute contributed over 2100 published colored botanical color plates depicting over 1800 different species. His father and grandfather had also been painters.
These prints are professionally framed with a 1" pink mat over a gold accent mat. The wood frame is made to look like bamboo. It is antique gold with highlights of white.
At the bottom of the print, P. J. Redoute, pine is printed on the left. On the right is printed Mourlot, lith.
I bought these together at an estate sale. And because they compliment each other for hanging on a wall, I decided to list them as a pair. I would consider selling them separately. Email me for price and shipping cost. They are from the 1950's. The condition is wonderful. Ready to hang and enjoy!
