This is a nice 1920's-30's Japan Dragonware Vase with a flower needle. The diameter is 7 1/2" with a 6" opening. The ceramic needle is 2 1/4 " diameter and has eight holes. It is matte enamel orange on the outside, and light blue on the inside. The white raised dragon curls around the outside surface of the vase or bowl. The oriental dragon is built up by using layers of slip clay on the surface of the dish. This procedure is called Moriage. The dish is stamped Made in Japan on the bottom.
Condition is very good with no chips or cracks. It can be used as a flower vase with the needle or use it alone as a bowl.
