This elegant 1890's - 1915's purse features a brass metal frame with embossed scrolling leaves on both sides. The frame displays a fabulous Art Deco design button clasp with seven dark amethyst colored stones. The clasp is in perfect working condition. The purse measures 7 1/2" long including fringe and 4" wide. The carrying chain is original and is 16" long. The glass beads are a gold color with a faded white glass center floral design and boarder. The lining is green silk. The top of the fabric lining is trimmed with small pink rosebuds and green leaves made from ribbon. The green lining is worn with age tears, but could probably be replaced. The beaded fringe is 2" long. There is one beaded strand missing. There is one area close to the frame bottom on the right side with a small tear and a few missing beads.
The clasp is the outstanding feature of this beautiful Victorian Bag.
