These two early 1900's matching Mother of Pearl Handle Knives with elaborately decorated blades are lovely, but unfortunately no hallmarks. The total length of the knife is 8". Divided in sections, the Mother of Pearl handle is 3", the blade is 4 1/4", and the ferrule is 1/2". One side of the blade is engraved beautifully with a floral vine design. Looks like a Passion Flower with leave vine. The Mother of Pearl handles are still very iridescent. The blades are probably silver plate or may be coin silver.
Condition is very good. There is minor pit spots on one blade( not the engraved side). Also same knife has two small dark spots on end of Mother of Pearl Handle They are wonderful Victorian pieces of silverware.
