John Wright bought Hubley Doorstop molds in the early 40"s and stated making the again. This 7 x 7 1/2" one is exceptionally nice. A three footed white container contains spring blooms of yellow daffodils, white narcissus, and small blue flowers. The openwork among the dark green leaves is interesting due to being made of cast iron. The paint is all original. Marked on the back with impressed numbers 52-575 and the initials J. W.
Use this Doorstop as they did in the early 1900's to hold a door open or display it on a shelf for its beauty. It would make a pretty book-end. Condition is really good.
