This is such a neat display Tin! It measures 8" x 8 3/4" x 4 1/2". It was the Tiger that caught my eye so much that I missed seeing the lid substitute. The Lid fits well, but is from another canister advertising H.J. Heinz Co. ( know for ketchup and pickles). This top will not show if displayed on a shelf. The canister is marked on the bottom" C & Co., Houseware Burlington N.J.". Chein & Co. was in business 1903-1980's. They are remembered best for making mechanical toys.
The signage is "Bright Tiger Chewing Tobacco, 5 cent packages". On one side it says "Tiger Fine Cut, 1/3 Gross 48 5 cent packages, Chewing Tobacco". The canister is in good vintage condition. No holes or dents. Lots of age scratches and some rust spots. Great addition to any tin canister collection.
