This neat early 1900's American Patriotic Octagon Tin measures 9 1/2" x 9 1/2" x3 1/4". It has a painted blue attached handle. The Tin Container was manufactured by Loose Wiles & Co. of N.Y. founded in 1902. The top has a great graphic of the Statue of Liberty. The eight side panels depict scenes of American History. They are 1. signing of the Constitution 2. Pioneers moving westward 3. The meeting of the rail roads 4. Daniel Boone in Kentucky 5. DeWit with Clinton opening the Erie Canal 6. Lewis and Clark Expedition 7. Early steamboats on the Mississippi 8. The Gold Rush of 1849.
Condition is vintage good. Lid and handle work well. It does show some scratches and age wear. No major dents. There is light rust on the inside bottom.
