The Anri Co. in Italy manufactured carved wood stoppers and other items from 1912 to 1976. No two were exactly alike as each was done by hand. These delightful stoppers have become collectible. On the top of his hat, this particular stopper is named "Ortise". He has rosy cheeks, a brown coat, and a green vest. He is 4 3/4" long. When the wooden lever on his back is engaged downward the mouth opens. Condition is very good on both the man and cork. These Arni items are fun to collect and will make you smile.
