This is an original 1920's framed print called "Daybreak" by the artist and illustrator Maxfield Parrish. In the Deco-style frame with glass intact, it measures 20" x 12 1/2". The print itself is approximately 18" x 9 1/2" . The Print is marked on the left side "House of Art, N. Y." ( need a magnifying glass to read the small print.)
I decided not to remove the backing to look for more identification. As you can see the brown paper has tears and is fragile. The frame is original with worn paint. The frame corners are tight, but with some separation. The Print still has great coloring, although there are overall small age staining dots. They don't effect the over-all look, especially from a distance. The beauty of this Print shows how Maxfield Parish was a master of reflecting light. This "Daybreak" scene is a fabulous example of his talent.
