Many pieces of Blue Willow were not marked by the manufacturer especially during the early period. I believe this 8 x 8 3/4" dish is one of them. The earthenware body has the feel and look of being very old. It has small molded handles. The unusual thing about this bowl is the outside decoration. There are four scenic cartouches around the sides. The base is square. The color has a flow blue look . I'm not sure the lid is original to the bowl because of the fit. But they look good together and seem to have the same traditional pattern.
Condition is good. There are a few hairline cracks on the bowl, but no chips. The lid has two under rim nicks or rough spots, not really chips. The lid also has a small glaze pops on the left upper side. The top knot has a stable line crack. This bowl would make a pretty display piece.
