A lovely country scene decorates the center of this 9 1/2" Copeland Spode Plate marked with an early to mid 1900's Copeland Spode backstamp. It reads Copeland Spode "Bryon Series" No. 2. The plate is an octagonal scalloped shape with a lovely border of grapes and leaves. The center scene depicts two ladies, a young boy and a dog. One of the ladies is helping the lad drink from a jug she is holding. The dominant colors are brown and green on a cream background. The plate is slightly divided so I assume it is a serving dish. Because of the attractive country scene, it would be a nice display plate.
