A lovely country scene decorates the center of this 9 1/2" Copeland Spode Plate marked with a early to mid 1900's Copeland Spode backstamp. It is labeled Copeland Spode Bryon Series No. 1. The plate is an octagonal scalloped shape with a lovely boarder of grape leaves. The center scene depicts two ladies visiting over a wall with a dog between them. One of the ladies is holding a basket on each arm filled with some type of birds. The dominant colors are brown and green on a cream background. The plate is slightly divided so I assume it is a serving dish. Because of the attractive country scene it would be a nice display plate.
