This is an amazing 14 1/2" tall 1860's Staffordshire Figurine of biblical Rebekah. She is dressed in a long flowing robe with a turban style headpiece. One hand is holding up her robe while the other is leaning on top of a vase or water jug. The vase is on top of a stone wall. She is standing in bare feet. She has a beautiful face with typical rosy cheeks. Her name Rebekah written in gold is still very readable. There is a vent hole on the backside.
She is in very good condition. A few hairline cracks, nothing major. No chips. Slightly worn gilt. Typical crazing for the age of the item. I don't see any repairs. Nice shiney glaze. Unmarked. Full rounded figure, not flat back. The oval base measures 6 1/2" x 4 1/2". She is lovely!
